-Just had 2 weeks of for summer, didn't do alot but I have found it quite easy to sit at home doing nothing with no one to annoy me.
Since last Monday rather than think "Yes another week off" I thought "Cr*p only a week left until I go back" and the depression has been getting stronger all week and today its all I can think about.
I think perhaps the answer is to use annual leave in short bouts through out the year like long weekends or whatever because any longer off knocks you out of routine and makes it hard to return.Hell yeah I agree lol! I did a couple of long weekends rather than a full week&i found this made things worse but what works for one person, doesn't work for everyone so you will find what works best for you. im at the end of 2wks off and already have the blues about going back to work lol! Good luck!If you prone to depression, even mild, you like routine and any change can have a negative effect on you.
It's better to just accept that you have to go back to work, see the positives..if there are any...maybe the wages for example.
If you are really that unhappy, why not look for work else where?
After time off and just relaxing .... you realize you have to go back to the "real world" :) It's called the monday blues for a reason .... its why on office space that guy said "looks like someone has a case of the moooooondays". lol
I think what you're describing is pretty universal to everyone. I love my job and sometimes I don't want to go back after a 3-day weekend!
