there are a lot of wrong answers here on this subject,

the federal minimum wage which is set under FLSA is $7.25 an hour but FLSA only covers certain businesses....

state laws cover all the businesses in their state (except those which are exempt) and may have a HIGHER or LOWER minimum wage, some states have NO minimum wage at all.....
