Can A Psychiatrist Become A Medical Doctor (or vice versa)?

-I understand that both Psychiatrists and Medical Doctors require an MD degree, but I was wondering... what if a psychiatrist later on down the road wanted to become a medical doctor (general practitioner), or if a medical doctor wanted to become a psychiatrist? What would they have to do?
