-Okay, So here is the deal. I turned in an application for Quaker Steak and Lube and was told to come back for an interview in a week. I went to the interview, talked to the Manager I assume (The Lady I gave my app to told me he would be there) and we just chatted for about 5 minutes, I told him what I want to do and he said the hostess posistion was filled but maybe I could try waitressing... I said That would work and then he told me the training days and said I would be hearing from him. Training now starts tomorrow and no call.. What does this mean? I have already called once and it was sent to a voice mail.If anything like my experience with Wal-Mart then one of two things can happen...
1. They call you after the mentioned training and sign you up for a later date (week or so after). Usually paperwork/etc can cause the delay.
2. They don't want you.
----
Based on the additional detail you have stated, I would like to think that its the first option I posted rather then the second. An influx of 160+/- jobs in a relatively quick time period could cause delay (the business probably is hiring as quick as it can because delay costs them... I would think that they could just be swarmed momentarily).Read the job requirements. If the job requirements are unrealistic, that employer is really bad or they don't have good HR.
I noticed the rise of college grads who were mommy-pampered who get jobs because they were just darn lucky. These barbie dolls I am referring to may even work in human resources and they are most likely to recruit the brainless socialites because they will fit in.
