Volunteering Opportunities?

-Hey guys. I'm a 16 year old girl who really wants to volunteer or help out the community in some way. This is easier said than done though. I love helping people, and I have some free time, and I really want to help people that need it. There is a "big sister" program in my town where you get paired with a youth, but you must be 18. I would really like to help out underpriveleged people or kids in some way, because I know I am very fourtunate to have nice things and stuff and I want to give back, but I don't really know how. Like I don't really hear of any volunteering opportunites, and I don't know how to find them. Do you volunteer anywhere or have any suggestions for how I can get involved and help people? Any ideas? Just ask about volunteering opportunities at non-profit organizations, hospitals, schools, libraries, nursing homes, etc around you. Am sure many places would love to have a volunteer like you!
