-I don't know what to do. I've been filling out applications online and in stores. I've just graduate last year and I really need a job to start saving for a car so I could go to college. Every time I ask someone for help with getting a job, they always tell me to lie on my applications. But I just don't feel right lying on my applications. Its just not me. I don't know what these people want. It seems like they want a Bachelors Degree just to work at Marshalls,Ross, or Walmart. I hate when jobs say they're hiring but when you fill out an application, they never call or email. I don't get it. Im the most nicest, easy to get along with person but they judge you by what you put on your applications.
Any advice on what I should do? It's really delaying me and what i need to do.
Thank youNever, ever, ever lie on a job application. That will get you fired so fast you won't even have to turn around to find yourself on the sidewalk and it will follow you to other jobs. You need to make sure your applications are correct, in acceptable English and have references. If you have not filled out at least 50 applications since school got out then you are not trying hard enough. You need to be willing to work at least 1/2 time hours and be available on nights and weekends. New hires do not get the best schedule they have to work for it. Some places which hire inexperienced high school grads take apps all the time because there is typically a lot of turnover so their waiting lists are long and it can take weeks to get a call back. Hang in there, btw it is not necessary to have a car to go to college. Who is paying the tuition etc?
